Police reunite 5-year old girl with father

STA. BARBARA- The local police and the social welfare office here intervened to reunite a 5-year-old girl with his biological father after the girl was taken without consent by her maternal grandmother.
Personnel from the Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) of the local police led by PO3 Ela Penuliar and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Wilma Coquia “rescued” the girl on the request of his father who said her daughter was taken without consent by her grandmother.
The girl’s mother is reportedly working abroad.
The rescue group and the girl’s father were on the road for days, initially going somewhere in La Union only to find out that the the girl was taken somewhere in Mariveles, Bataan.
The WCPC group immediately proceeded and upon reaching Mariveles, they coordinated with the local police and started looking for the girl. The girl was finally traced with the help of locals who acted as guide in locating the place where the little girl was hidden.
