Sison folks learn computer operations

sisonSISON– Municipal librarian Genoveva Molina, 62, did not think age mattered when it comes to learning computer operations.

“Now I know how to open and shut down computers,” Molina said.

She was one of the 286 trainees in the computer literacy project of the Ai Hu Foundation and the Sison local government held from March to May.

Molina said she wanted to learn how to operate computers so she can assist researchers in the library which has Internet connection.

“I knew nothing about computers. I studied at a time when there were no computers yet,” Molina, who is set to retire in three years from government service, said. “I and the other trainees are very happy that we are now computer literate.”

San Carlos rehabilitates abattoir

SAN CARLOS CITY – The City government is rehabilitating the abattoir and providing equipment in efforts to modernize and sanitize the facility.

City Administrator Mienrado Ynzon, who closely supervises this project of City Mayor Julier Resuello, said that P4 million was allocated for the project, as he also enumerated the equipment to be procured for slaughtering hogs and cattle.

The equipment for hog include 1 unit each of hog restrainer, electric hog stunner, scalding vat, dehairing table, hoist, evisceration platform, and viscera inspection table. Sixty units of hog trolley and another 60 units of gambrels will also be procured.

Scandal

bishop2In simple words, a scandal is a fact a shameful action – fact or reality, event or incident – that brings disgrace to individuals and shocks public sensibility basically on account of its radically unethical and/ or fundamentally immoral nature and consequences.

In other terms, scandal is grave personal discredit, serious disrepute or gross dishonor adversely affecting however public value system, eroding upright common good or undermining principled public welfare. Scandal is synonymous with flagrant individual or corporate misconduct, wrongdoing or debasement with serious social errant impact or social public repercussion.

For the record and for the sake of due recall, nothing less that the Holy Book specifically and clearly says: “..it would better for a man to have a large millstone tied around his neck and be drowned in the deep sea that for him to cause scandal…” (Mt. 18:6-7).

Police reunite 5-year old girl with father

STA. BARBARA- The local police and the social welfare office here intervened to reunite a 5-year-old girl with his biological father after the girl was taken without consent by her maternal grandmother.

Personnel from the Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) of the local police led by PO3 Ela Penuliar and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Wilma Coquia “rescued” the girl on the request of his father who said her daughter was taken without consent by her grandmother.

The girl’s mother is reportedly working abroad.
